1986年生於台灣新竹,目前旅居日本橫濱。
2009年畢業於國立臺北藝術大學美術系,2014年取得巴黎國立高等美術學院國家高等造型文憑(DNSAP)。使用油畫作為創作的主要媒材,主題圍繞著藝術家內心的風景。以自身的生活經驗與記憶的小片段為創作重要的根據,創作對於藝術家而言像是將這些片段集結起來編織成畫面。將情感與記憶用風景的樣貌表現出來。透過記錄在藝術家為數眾多的素描簿、筆記本中,往來於過去與現在,捕捉那些容易被忽略的微小事物,並在畫布上交織出層次感,這些影像呈現了獨特的世界,由柔和的色彩、質感和筆觸痕跡所構成。這些景象因視角而變化,帶給觀眾感受到一種懷念和舒適的情感。
近年的重要展覽:「窗外風景」( nca | nichido contemporary art 、東京、2023)、「Dust of Mind」( nca | nichido contemporary art 、東京、2017)、「 聲響談:在地音景採集計畫」(鳳甲美術館、台北、2021),黃品玲的作品亦受到國立台灣美術館、藝術銀行等單位收藏。
Pin-Ling Huang was born in 1986 in Hsin-Chu Taiwan. Graduated from Taipei University of the Arts in 2009, and obtained the DNSAP from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2014. She uses oil paints as a painting material. Her paintings focus on the theme of the landscape of the inner world in her mind.
Huang creates poetic landscape paintings by gathering and weaving together small fragments of his experiences and memories. These works depict the emotional landscapes born from his prolonged separation from his homeland, Taiwan, due to studying abroad. Through this, he reflects on his connection with his hometown and reexamines his relationship with the external world (society). Utilizing numerous sketchbooks as a foundation, he navigates between the past and present, capturing overlooked details and layering them onto the canvas. The resulting images are characterized by gentle hues, textures, and the traces of the brush, collectively forming a distinctive world. The ever-changing landscapes, influenced by perspective, evoke a sense of nostalgia and comfort for the viewer.
During her stay in France, her works were selected for the ‘Jeune Création’ award in Paris in 2012. Her first abroad solo exhibition ‘Piece of Peace’ was held in Prague in 2013. And her graduation solo show ‘Lonely Land’ was held in Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2014. In 2015, she had a solo exhibition ‘Somewhere Else’ in the gallery in Paris. Her first solo exhibition in Japan ‘ Dust of Mind’ was held in Tokyo in 2017. She also had a solo exhibition ‘Dreams Rise From the River Surface’ in Tokyo in 2021. She participated in several exhibitions in Taiwan and abroad. Also, had the experiences of Artist-in-Residence in Korea and France. Her work was also collected by the National Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan.
She is currently working and living in Japan, in an art residency at the Koganecho Area Management Center in Yokohama.
黃品玲自2022年秋季開始,踏上日本的駐村之旅,開啟了在台灣與日本之間往返的旅居創作生活。這並非她首次遠行,曾於法國巴黎深造五年。返台後,她卻感受到故鄉的陌生與疏離,內心充滿格格不入與孤獨。這段經驗促使她重新思考「遠行」的意義,認為既然難以在任何地方真正安居,那麼或許唯有置身陌生的新環境,方能重新審視創作與自我之間的關係。
初抵日本時,黃品玲閱讀了夏目漱石的《草枕》,其中「難以安居的人世,促使詩詞與繪畫的誕生」一語深深觸動她的心靈,成為她創作的核心啟發。她從遷徙的經驗中汲取養分,將異地生活中感受到的微光與流動,轉化為繪畫中細膩且富有詩意的表現。作品彷彿在靜謐的畫面中捕捉時間與空間的瞬間,映照出藝術家內心對於存在、流變與歸屬的思索。
黃品玲的創作既是對自我身份的追尋,也是對生命經驗的溫柔注視。她用色彩與光影構築出一個介於真實與夢境之間的世界,邀請觀者一同沉浸在那份在遷徙與安頓間流動的微光裡。
Since the autumn of 2022, Huang Pin-Ling has embarked on an artist residency journey in Japan, beginning a nomadic creative life between Taiwan and Japan. This is not her first time living abroad—she previously spent five years studying in Paris, France. Upon returning to Taiwan, however, she experienced a sense of unfamiliarity and disconnection with her homeland, feeling out of place and deeply alone. This experience led her to reflect on the meaning of “going afar,” and she came to believe that if one cannot truly settle anywhere, then perhaps it is within the unfamiliar that one can re-examine the relationship between creation and the self.
Upon arriving in Japan, Huang read Natsume Sōseki’s Kusamakura, and was profoundly moved by the line: “It is because the world is so difficult to dwell in that poetry and painting are born.” These words became a core inspiration for her artistic practice. Drawing from her experience of migration, she transforms the fleeting lights and subtle flows of life in foreign lands into delicate and poetic expressions in her paintings. Her works seem to capture ephemeral moments of time and space within tranquil images, reflecting her inner contemplation on existence, impermanence, and belonging.
Huang’s creations are both a search for personal identity and a gentle gaze upon her lived experiences. Through colors and light, she constructs a world that hovers between reality and dream, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the glimmers that move between migration and rest.

《蒼穹》(Vault of Heaven)系列的靈感源自歐洲哥德式建築的穹頂。穹頂的半圓形造型象徵著向天堂的靠近——一條通往彼岸的通道,映照出當時人們對宇宙的理解與世界觀,並延伸至精神的維度。畫布本身作為承載的容器,因這樣的造型而生成了一道入口,得以通往另一個空間——精神的領域。
在這裡所描繪的風景,不僅是藝術家思索自身與世界、與周遭關係的方式,也是探索與這個時代、與整體世界的聯繫。

作品 〈蒼穹–繁盛花園〉 將內在精神世界的豐盈,以宛如繁茂植物的意象具體化。那些層層交疊、靈動的筆觸,描繪著每一個躍動的思緒,如同在花園中綻放的一場盛宴。
The “Vault of Heaven” series draws inspiration from the domes of European Gothic architecture. The semicircular form of the dome symbolizes an approach toward heaven—a passage to the beyond—reflecting how people of that time understood the cosmos and their worldview, while also extending into the spiritual dimension. The canvas itself, as a vessel, takes on this form to generate an entryway, opening toward another realm—the domain of the spirit.
The landscapes depicted here are not only the artist’s way of contemplating her relationship with the world and her surroundings, but also an exploration of her connection with this era and the larger world as a whole.

In Vault of Heaven – Flourishing Garden, the richness of the inner spiritual world is given form through imagery akin to luxuriant plants. Layers of dynamic brushstrokes portray each vibrant thought, unfolding like a grand feast of blossoms within a garden.

黃品玲從自身記憶出發,翻閱多冊親筆繪製的素描本,將這些細膩的手稿作為創作基底,逐步完成每一幅畫作。她運用柔軟且富有透明感的色彩,配合細膩且滑順的筆觸,營造出一個獨特而詩意的世界觀。雖然畫中風景多為虛構,但卻帶給觀者一種熟悉而安心的懷念感,彷彿觸及記憶深處的某處角落。
以作品〈搖曳樹影〉為例,創作靈感來自日常生活中陽光灑落植物,所形成的光影變化。這些平凡無奇的景象,經由品玲細心觀察與感受,化為畫面中動人的風景。她提醒我們,即使是最平凡的日常,只要用心凝視,也能發現生活中那一片獨特且美麗的光影風景,讓人心生溫暖與寧靜。
Pinling HUANG begins her creative process from personal memories, flipping through numerous sketchbooks filled with her delicate hand-drawn studies. These intricate drafts form the foundation of each painting, which she gradually brings to life. With soft, translucent colors and smooth, refined brushstrokes, she constructs a unique and poetic worldview. Though the depicted landscapes are largely imaginary, they evoke a sense of familiarity and comfort—as if gently touching a hidden corner of the viewer’s own memory.
Take her work 〈Swaying Shadows〉 as an example. The inspiration came from observing the way sunlight filters through plants, casting shifting patterns of light and shadow in everyday life. Through Pin-Ling’s attentive observation and sensitivity, these ordinary scenes are transformed into moving imagery. Her work reminds us that even the most mundane moments, when truly seen, can reveal a world of unique and beautiful light—bringing a sense of warmth and serenity to the heart.

黃品玲將繪畫視為一種能容納記憶與想像的容器。透過畫筆,她創造出能夠讓精神自由遊走的空間——那些不存在於現實地圖上的風景,卻在觀看與感受中,構築出一處處可以暫時安放自我的所在。這些畫面既是她的精神棲地,也邀請觀者一同進入,經歷自身的投射與共鳴。
作品〈柔軟之地 A Place to Soften〉便是這樣一幅描繪心理狀態的風景。畫面如同心靈的棲息地,輕柔的筆觸與溫潤的色彩交織成一種無形的安全感,宛如身體躺在世界上最柔軟的床鋪,內在最脆弱的部分被輕柔包覆。思緒在畫中一縷一縷地鬆開,化為柔和而寧靜的色彩。這幅作品不只是視覺上的風景,更是一種情感的體驗,是對於溫柔、放鬆與自我照顧的深層描繪。
Pinling HUANG regards painting as a vessel capable of holding both memory and imagination. Through her brush, she creates spaces where the spirit can roam freely—landscapes that may not exist on any physical map, yet offer places where one can momentarily rest the self through the act of viewing and feeling. These painted scenes are her own inner sanctuaries, while also extending an invitation to viewers to enter, to project themselves, and to resonate.
Her work 〈A Place to Soften〉 exemplifies this approach, portraying a psychological landscape. The composition resembles a resting place for the soul, where gentle brushstrokes and warm, tender hues weave an invisible sense of safety—like lying on the softest bed in the world, with one’s most fragile inner layers delicately held. Within the painting, thoughts gently unravel into soft and tranquil colors. This piece is not merely a visual scene, but an emotional experience—a deep depiction of tenderness, relaxation, and self-care.

對黃品玲而言,繪畫是一種承載記憶的形式。每一幅作品,都是某個特定時刻的痕跡,捕捉了記憶中難以忘懷或如夢似幻的片段。她透過繪畫將難以言喻的情緒與抽象的思緒轉化為風景的形式,使看似無形的內在經驗得以被視覺化、被感知。繪畫於她而言不僅是創作的工具,更是一種與自身對話的方式,是連結想像與現實之間的橋樑。〈思緒微光Glimmers of Thought〉以夜晚的景色中的光點,描繪內心深處對於充滿希望的一個部分。
For Pinling HUANG, painting is a form that carries memory. Each artwork is a trace of a particular moment, capturing fragments of memory that are either unforgettable or dreamlike. Through painting, she transforms ineffable emotions and abstract thoughts into landscapes, allowing intangible inner experiences to become visible and perceptible. For her, painting is not merely a tool for creation, but a means of conversing with herself—a bridge that connects imagination and reality.
〈Glimmers of Thought〉 illustrates this approach through points of light in a nighttime landscape, symbolizing a part of the inner self quietly holding on to hope.

〈氣息-1 Refreshing No.1〉以植物柔和而繁茂的形象,映照藝術家內在的呼吸節奏與心境狀態。清新的藍綠色調在畫面中律動,如同深吸一口氣後的舒展與釋放,傳遞一種回歸自我、澄澈透明的感受。畫面不僅捕捉自然的氣息,也呈現藝術家在創作中尋得的一種心理上的refreshness——是一種不被打擾的寧靜與清朗。
〈Refreshing No.1〉 reflect the artist’s inner rhythm of breath and emotional state through the soft and lush imagery of plants. The fresh blue-green tones flow across the canvas like the gentle expansion and release following a deep breath, conveying a sense of returning to oneself—clear, pure, and unburdened. These paintings not only capture the essence of nature’s breath but also embody a psychological sense of refreshness found through the act of creation—a quiet, undisturbed clarity and serenity.
